Telecon, the undisputed leader in the building of telecommunications networks, today announced the acquisition of AGIR Consultants assets. This transaction allows TELECON to reassert its presence in Québec, in addition to consolidating its range of engineering services and network design, to better serve its customers.
More than 100 highly skilled employees of AGIR Consultants, recognized for the quality of professional and technical services required for engineering and designing of telecommunications networks, will join Telecon. All jobs are preserved.

Its customers include major players in the telephony, cable television and Internet sector, as well as telecommunications network operators. The company now has more than 2,500 employees, including nearly 900 in Québec. In 2011, Capital régional et coopératif Desjardins and the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec became majority shareholders and invested $60M in the company.
